THE HAPPY DAYS OF THE SUN-TOUCHED
They were happy, very happy in their always sunny country. The sun and the rain made the plants, vegetables, legumes and cereals grow, they did not need anything else to be happy. Because the sun filled them with joy. They worshipped the sun and each day they thanked it for everything they had. In other times, times of their oldest ancestors, they also gave thanks to the clouds that brought rain, and to the moon that brought them resting, and to the wind that carried the seeds… But the sun was so magnificent, big, brilliant and imposing that they were forgetting the other rites of gratitude, and they only thanked the sun for all its blessings.
And they looked at the sun until they were blinded and burned their skin.
And they sang in the sun until their throats dried up.
And they forgot what made them happy, they only knew that they had to worship the sun.
